The lone Pro-Life voice at the Democratic National Convention

After the Democratic National Convention spent days this week praising abortion as “women's health” by featuring such speakers as Nancy Keenan of NARAL and Cecile Richards of Planned Parenthood, and approving the most pro-abortion party platform ever, removing the word “rare” from the phrase “safe, legal abortion,” Cardinal Timothy Dolan of New York had this to say in his prayer closing the convention:

“Thus do we praise you for the gift of life. Grant us the courage to defend it, life without which no other rights are secure. We ask your benediction on those waiting to be born, that they may be welcomed and protected.”

That one sentence stunned the audience at the convention. Hardly anyone clapped. Cardinal Dolan's prayer at the closing of the Republican National Convention was met with much more exuberant applause.

Cardinal Dolan was, very unfortunately, the lone Pro-Life voice at the Democratic National Convention.
