Texas Right to Life to host Celebration of Life at Hilton Americas-Houston

On Friday, October 2, Texas Right to Life will hold the 18th Annual Celebration of Life at Hilton Americas-Houston, located in the heart of downtown.  The event provides an opportunity for Pro-Life advocates from across the state to meet the leaders and elected officials championing Pro-Life legislation and to celebrate the successes of Texas-based Pro-Life efforts while supporting the crucial work of Texas Right to Life, whose tireless endeavors make those successes possible.

This year, the Celebration of Life will boast a larger venue than ever before, as we have outgrown our previous Galleria-area venue thanks to the ever increasing enthusiasm and support of the Pro-Life grassroots in Texas.  This year’s event will be emceed by renowned radio host Sam Malone, a fixture in talk radio and longtime host of 104 KRBE’s morning staple, “The Sam Malone Show.”

This year’s Celebration of Life will proudly spotlight the Pro-Life Champions of the 84th Session of the Texas Legislature.  These include Senator Charles Perry (R-Lubbock), Representative Tan Parker (R-Flower Mound), Representative Molly White (R-Belton), and many others.  Each of these Pro-Life leaders showed unparalleled commitment to the most vulnerable Texans and worked tirelessly with Texas Right to Life to pass strong legislation.  Entrenched House leadership and the callous opposition of Democrats in both houses stood to upend their efforts.  Nevertheless, these Pro-Life Champions fought relentlessly for the preborn, pregnant women, and vulnerable patients.  We are honored to recognize them for their efforts.

This year’s honors include several Pro-Life Hero awards, a Pro-Life Most Valuable Player Award, and two Pro-Life Freshman of the Session awards.  Texas Right to Life reserves these highest recognitions for the most committed Pro-Life leaders in the state of Texas.  These leaders have shown selfless dedication to the cause of Life, and we look forward to publicly acknowledging the tireless efforts that led to life-saving victories in the 84th Legislative Session.

This year’s Celebration of Life will also feature a diverse array of silent auction items, including a dream vacation in Puerta Plata, Dominican Republic; a day of fishing off the shore of Matagorda Bay, Texas; two cypress porch rocking chairs engraved with the Texas state seal; and a private wine tasting for ten people with a tour of Dry Comal Creek Winery in New Braunfels, Texas.

A limited number of tickets remain for next week’s Celebration of Life.  More information is available here.  You don’t want to miss this!
