Equal access to healthcare and birth control, the freedom to “choose,” fair and equal insurance coverage for women. That’s what Planned Parenthood says they’re all about: equality for women. But do they mean it?
Elizabeth Graham, Director of Texas Right to Life, told the Matt Patrick show on 740 KTRH, no.
“The real War on Women is being waged by Planned Parenthood. They have been hurting and maiming women by selling abortion for decades. And now the War on Women is furthered by killing unborn women in the womb,” said Graham.
Indeed, last week Live Action released an undercover video — shot in Austin, Texas — that shows a Planned Parenthood counselor aiding and abetting the ultimate inequality and sexism: a death sentence for a child, simply because she is a girl.
In the video, a client tells the counselor that she only wants to continue her pregnancy if she has a boy. But, she says, she fears that people will judge her for her intention.
The counselor, Rebecca, instructs the client to keep her intention a secret because, first, it’s nobody else’s business, and second, because some clinicians might turn her away if they knew.
Rebecca is so understanding.
Rebecca then shows the client how to trick an OB/GYN and abuse Medicaid to receive a sonogram solely to determine the sex of the child, and tells her to make an appointment with Planned Parenthood for an abortion if she is, indeed, pregnant with a girl.
Apparently, Planned Parenthood doesn’t care if abortion is motivated by sexism or perceived gender inequalities. They don’t discriminate. In fact, after this undercover video was released, Planned Parenthood issued several statements saying that a federal law banning sex-selective abortions (the Prenatal Nondiscrimination Act) would not be a “legitimate” way to address sexism.
Planned Parenthood has no interest in true equality for women. They claim to be for women and women’s health, but Rebecca shows that “equal access to healthcare” means that Planned Parenthood is simply an equal opportunity abortion business.
“Planned Parenthood tries to sell abortion to women at any cost,” concluded Graham. “They are a for-profit agency and they will not stop until they have sold and marketed abortion as women’s healthcare.”
In other words, for Planned Parenthood income is income, regardless of the intent or motivation.
