College Pro-Life groups to participate in Pro-Life Picture Day

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Collegiate Pro-Life groups across Texas will participate in Pro-Life Picture Day on Thursday, October 12.  Pro-Life Picture Day is a statewide event founded by undergraduate students in Texas Right to Life’s Dr. Joseph Graham Fellowship for College Pro-Life Leaders in 2016.  The effort encourages millennials to empathize with the Right to Life movement, because 50% of Americans oppose abortion on-demand, yet only 46% identify as Pro-Life, according to a 2017 Gallup poll.  Participating student organizations will photograph volunteers holding a sign that says, “I am a Pro-Life _________.”  Participants can write personal and unique words, or they can break stereotypes of Pro-Lifers, such as “I am a Pro-Life feminist,” “I am a Pro-Life Democrat,” or “I am a Pro-Life millennial.”  At the end of the day, all participating organizations will publish the pictures to their social media profiles, showing the diversity and breadth of the Pro-Life movement among millennials.

The Honorable Jonathan Stickland serves as the representative for Texas House District 92 and is known for standing for principle – even when he stands alone.  Stickland is the only Pro-Life Hero in the Texas House from the 86th Session of the Texas Legislature.  Texas would have no significant Pro-Life victories in 2019 without Stickland’s bravery to defy House leadership.
