Even pro-choicers support the Texas PreBorn Pain Bill

A recent poll by the Texas Tribune showed that an overwhelming majority of Texans support legislation that would stop abortions when a preborn child is capable of feeling pain.  Of the 57% of Texans who support the legislation, 42% stated they strongly supported protecting these children.

Texas Right to Life took to the streets to interview students at the University of Houston to see their stance on the legislation.  While the majority of the people with whom we spoke consider themselves pro-choice, they support legislation that would stop abortion after the point where there is substantial scientific evidence confirming the preborn child is able to feel pain.

Even though a majority of Texans clearly support the state’s effort to protect these preborn children, pro-abortion groups like NARAL and Planned Parenthood oppose this commonsense and humane legislation.
