Prayer Calendar | Pro-Life Prayers

Pro-Life prayer items & Scriptures for each day of the month:

Please pray according to the following prayer calendar in order to bring about the restoration of legal protection and societal respect for all innocent human life.  Feel free to select an item or two from the list of special importance to you personally or that God lays upon your heart to devote extra time.  Fasting combined with prayer is most effective.

Day 1 Praise God for the gift of your life and for His plan for your life since before you were born. 
 

"You created my inmost being;  you knit me together in my mother's womb.  I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made...  My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place... your eyes saw my unformed body.  All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be."  Psa 139:13-16.

"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart."  Jer 1:5.
Day 2 Pray for unborn babies in your community in danger of being aborted this month. 
 

"Rescue from the hands of the oppressor the one who has been robbed.  Do no wrong or violence to the alien, the fatherless or the widow, and do not shed innocent blood in this place."  Jer 22:3.
Day 3 Pray that the needs of pregnant women in your community are met so that they will choose life. 
 

"I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses.  Now choose life, so that you and your children may live."  Deu 30:19b.
Day 4 Pray for the Pro-Life efforts of your church and your church’s leaders.  
 

"Do not think that because you are in the king's house you alone of all the Jews will escape.  For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance... will arise from another place, but you and your father's house will perish.  And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?"  Est 4:13-14.

"I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me.... if you do warn the wicked man and he does not turn from his wickedness or from his evil ways, he will die for his sin; but you will have saved yourself."  Eze 3:17, 19.
Day 5 Pray for abortionists to be convicted and courageous to take lives no more. 
  "The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness.  He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance."  2 Pet 3:9.
Day 6 Pray for the closing of abortion centers in your community. 
  "Break the arm of the wicked and evil man; call him to account for his wickedness that would not be found out....  You hear, O LORD, the desire of the afflicted... defending the fatherless and the oppressed, in order that man, who is of the earth, may terrify no more."  Psa 10:12-18.
Day 7 Pray for the employees and donors to Planned Parenthood and other organizations that promote abortion. 
  "Do not... encroach on the fields of the fatherless, for their Defender is strong;  He will take up their case against you."  Pro 23:10-11.
Day 8 Pray for strength to speak out about abortion. 
  “You are the salt of the earth....  You are the light of the world."  Mat 5:13-14.
Day 9 Pray for Pro-Lifers in government to speak for the defenseless.

Day 10 Pray for the President and Vice-President.
  "I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone--for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness."  1 Tim 2:1-2.
Day 11 Pray for the Supreme Court to seek the Lord's wisdom and submit to His authority. 
 

"For there is no authority except that which God has established.  The authorities that exist have been established by God."  Rom 13:1b.

"It is not good to be partial to the wicked or to deprive the innocent of justice."  Pro 18:5.
Day 12 Pray for your U.S Congressman and U.S. Senators.
  "When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; when the wicked rule, the people groan."  Pro 29:2.
Day 13 Pray for the Governor, Lieutenant Governor and the state legislature.
  "Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD."  Psa 33:12a.
Day 14 Pray for forgiveness of our land for acceptance of abortion. 
 

"Let us examine our ways and test them, and let us return to the LORD."  Lam. 3:40. 

"Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people."  Pro 14:34.

Day 15 Pray for those who are weary in defending the right to life.
 

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."  Gal 6:9.

"Commit your way to the LORD; trust in Him and He will do this:  He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun."  Psa 37:5-6.
Day 16 Pray for those with serious illness who may be pressured or tempted to ask for euthanasia. 
  "I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly."  Joh 10:10b.
Day 17 Pray for couples who cannot have children and long to adopt a child.
  "Hannah made a vow, saying, 'O LORD Almighty, if you will only look upon your servant's misery and remember me, and not forget your servant, but give her a son, then I will give him to the LORD for all the days of his life.'"  1 Sam 1:10-11.
Day 18 Pray for teens in your community to live a life of sexual purity.
  "Flee the evil desires of youth, and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace."  2 Tim 2:22.
Day 19 Pray for the healing of post-abortive women and men.
 

"A voice is heard in Ramah, weeping and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children and refusing to be comforted, because they are no more."  Mat 2:18.

Day 20 Pray for the success of pregnancy resource centers helping women choose life.
 

“Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these, My brethren, you did it to Me."  Mat 25:40b.
Day 21 Pray for Pro-Lifers facing persecution for their beliefs.
  "In this world you will have trouble.  But take heart!  I have overcome the world."  Joh 16:33b.
Day 22 Pray that the media will begin to inform the public truthfully on abortion, cloning, and euthanasia.
 

"A truthful witness saves lives, but a false witness is deceitful."  Pro 14:25 . 

"My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge."  Hos 4:6a.
Day 23 Pray for your family to uphold the sanctity of innocent human life. 
  "..Then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve....  But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD."  Josh 24:15.
Day 24 Pray for struggling single mothers who have chosen life.
  "A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling."  Psa 68:5.
Day 25 Pray for the reversal of Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton, the Supreme Court decisions that legalized abortion on demand. 
  "Can a corrupt throne be allied with you--one that brings misery by its decrees?  They band together against the righteous and condemn the innocent to death.  But the LORD has become my fortress....  He will repay them for their sins and destroy them for their wickedness;  the LORD, our God will destroy them."  Psa 94:20-23.
Day 26 Pray for a nationwide rejection of embryonic stem cell research, cloning, and other biomedical assaults on innocent human life.
  "Do not be deceived:  God cannot be mocked.  A man reaps what he sows."  Gal 6:7.
Day 27 Pray for doctors to expose the truth about abortion, cloning, and euthanasia.
  "For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord.  Live as children of light.  Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them."  Eph 5:8, 11.
Day 28 Pray for grandparents grieving the loss of their aborted grandchildren.
  "A wise son brings joy to his father, but a foolish son grief to his mother."  Pro 10:1.
Day 29 Pray for those suffering with diseases who have been duped by proponents of embryonic stem cell research promising them a cure.
  "And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up.  If he has sinned, he will be forgiven....  The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective."  Jam 5:15-16.
Day 30 Pray for families facing end of life decisions for a loved one.
  “The king was shaken.  He went up to the room over the gateway and wept.  As he went, he said: 'O my son Absalom!  My son, my son Absalom!  If only I had died instead of you--O Absalom, my son, my son!"  2 Sam 18:33.
Day 31 Praise God for answering your prayers to restore the sanctity of innocent human life.
  "Jesus replied, 'I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt... you can say to this mountain:  Go throw yourself into the sea; and it will be done.  If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer."   Mat 21:21-2.
