HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY! (July 4) -

On July 4, we celebrate the day when the Continental Congress, meeting in Philadelphia, ratified the Declaration of Independence.  This document, along with the U.S. Constitution, forms the foundation on which our country was based two-hundred and thirty-three years ago.  In addition to your plans this weekend, we ask you to remember and to think about how our country has lived up to these words written so long ago:

"…We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness…"

PLANNED PARENTHOOD CENTER OF EL PASO CLOSES (June 26)

- Planned Parenthood Center of El Paso announces it will cease operations and shutdown its seven locations in the El Paso area on June 30 due to financial pressures.  Planned Parenthood is the nation's largest abortion provider and still maintains operations in dozens of Texas cities.
