Texas Right to Life is thrilled to announce that Star Parker will be the keynote speaker at our twelfth annual Celebration of Life on Friday evening, October 2nd. Our special guest Master of Ceremonies will be San Diego’s Mark Larson, host of The Mark Larson Show.
Prior to social activism, Star Parker was a single welfare mother in Los Angeles, California. Star eventually returned to college, earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing, and launched an urban Christian magazine. When the 1992 Los Angeles riots destroyed her business, her faith and market-based alternatives program expanded to empower the poor.
As a social policy consultant, Star Parker gives regular testimony before the United States Congress and is a national expert on major television and radio shows across the country.
Star's personal transformation from welfare fraud to conservative crusader has been chronicled by ABC's “20/20,” Rush Limbaugh, Readers Digest; Dr. James Dobson, George Grant, the Washington Times, Christianity Today, Charisma, and World Magazine.
Join Texas Right to Life to hear about Star’s rise above poverty, her insights on the socio-economic impact of abortion, and how the industry preys on low-income minorities. The twelfth annual Celebration of Life will again be the most uplifting Pro-Life event of the year with the accompanying Silent Auction featuring over 100 items. The event will be held at the Westin Galleria Hotel in Houston. The auction and reception will start at 6:00 pm, and dinner will begin at 7:30 pm.

Silent Auction
Texas Right to Life’s Silent Auction, held in conjunction with the annual Celebration of Life, is always a fun and successful part of the event. Through the many generous donations from individuals, families, and businesses in Texas, the Silent Auction raises tens of thousands of dollars for the Texas Right to Life Educational Fund. Some of the efforts of the Educational Fund include ministering to women facing unplanned pregnancies, assisting families with end-of-life decisions, and providing Pro-Life resources and speakers for churches and schools.
None of these activities are possible without your assistance and generosity. Texas Right to Life is looking for silent auction donations for next year's event.
