What Others Are Saying “I cannot believe that you are sending out solicitations for
“PRO-life”. I am so offended. I’d bet money that most
of your organization is made up by a big bunch of stupid #*$% men. Get
a “life” and a brain. All we need is more federal government
involvement in our lives. Please name one thing that the government
is involved in that is now better. Give it up! Personally, I don’t
think that I would have ever gotten an abortion, but I #*$% WELL have
the right to choose and YOU DON’T!!! HA! HA! and you never will!!!!
As long as there are women in this world, we will always have the right
to choose. Your little wife may tell you that she is “Pro Life”,
but when she goes into that voting booth without you hovering over her
– she’ll vote “Pro-Choice” every time. The most
hypocritical thing that your group states is this: “well abortion
is murder”. Next words out of your mouth: “well we only
support abortion in cases where the mother’s life is in danger,
or in cases of incest or rape.” OK. Is it then not murder in these
instances? You know what? It is either murder or it isn’t –
MAKE UP YOUR MIND!!!!!!!!” “When I read your quote, I blinked my eyes in disbelief. While the majority of people probably have mixed views about the practice of abortion – and so do I – they agree that women should have the right to terminate those cells they are carrying inside them. “As a juvenile diabetic and the mother of another juvenile diabetic, I totally resent your call to other juvenile diabetics to speak before the legislature concerning SCNT. I believe that 1. you speak from total ignorance and 2. your right wing fundamentalism fits only in a country such as Saudi Arabia or Iran, where in the 21 st country, they choose to live in the 12 th century. That’s where right wingers such as yourself and your organization belong. I , as the parent of a juvenile diabetic, want every opportunity for my child to live as full a life as any other child. May God bless your life enough that you don’t ever have to deal with a child that lives with a life threatening disease. You probably still think my daughter is diabetic because she is being punished by God!! The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation is a well organized group of parents and professionals dedicated to finding a cure for the disease of diabetes and its complications. If, as you say, SCNT (an unfertilized blastocyst) therapy leads so easily to a human clone that could be implanted in the womb, then why hasn’t it been done?? Duh. Let’s see, the govt. controls our taxes, our faxes, our emails, our telephones. Are you telling me the govt. couldn’t put realistic controls on a blastocyst grown with my own DNA and used to extract stem cells?? Maybe you should take a govt. or civics class to learn how govt. works. What are you people afraid of?? That a human life might be saved? Heaven forbid we could actually create cures and save lives rather than using guns and blowing up innocent lives overseas. The life of 100 cell blastocyst that is set to be discarded (killed) after IVF is more important than the actual living, breathing citizen to you people. Why don’t you people get a cause that might save actual lives, like marching against war and death from it. Your call to juvenile diabetics sickens me and my child. May you rot in hell for believing that my life and the life of my child are not important enough to dedicate great scientific minds to finding a cure. P.S. Where is the ‘spirit’ when an embryo is frozen in IVF? Does it also freeze? Hmmm. Does the spirit thaw out when the blastocyst is implanted in the womb? Or does some other spirit get assigned to the implanted embryo? Hmmm.”
