What Others Are Saying

The Good | The Bad | The Ugly

"Thank you for the info you sent me. I really appreciate your advice. I will look into these places. God bless you and your staff for the prayers."

Sincerely,
Odelia

"I want to thank you for sending out a voter's guide for the Texas election tomorrow.  It is very hard to discern a candidate's view on abortion based only on political ads and campaigns.  I always feel confident going to vote after receiving one of your voter's guides."

“First, thank you for your continuing work.  I agree with you completely on the embryonic stem cell issue.  It actually comes down to one’s ethic.  Usually, ethical considerations are highly theoretical and impractical.  However, this is a case of rules-based (deontological) or situational (utilitarian) ethics.  The most dramatic 20th century example was the medical experimentation by the Nazis on Jewish prisoners.  The argument was that the Jews were going to die anyway so why don’t we use them and their bodies for experimentation.  The horror of this thinking, suspending the usual absolute prohibition of experimenting on humans at the cost of their lives just because they were going to die anyway, led to the Helsinki Declaration after WWII, which has been the basis of the laws, regulations and standards of human medical research in the USA and western world since then.  The EXACT same logic is used by those who argue that embryos can be used for research since we have an excess and we are likely to discard them anyway.  The parallel could not be any stronger.  Of course, we have to argue that embryos are living beings, which I believe that they are.  Utilitarian ethics have always been tempting but easily lead to a tyranny of the majority, of the dominant, of the politically strong.  Let us continue to defend life from the tyranny of the utilitarians.”

“There are few issues in our country that both divide and unite us as much as this one.  We, as a country, continue to mock and grieve the Lord by the continued slaughter of millions of unborn children.  Texas Right to Life is doing a magnificent and worthy work.“

“This is simply a thank you letter.  I was surprised indeed to receive your card indicating you were praying for me.  I cannot fathom how you knew I needed prayer.  I guess Word goes out when it needs to!!!...  It is not much but I am enclosing what I can in appreciation.  You are always more generous with me than I am with you.”

“Thank you for your prayers.  Your first card arrived on the very day a member of the extended family died after a painful illness.  The second came just days before my granddaughter’s scheduled heart surgery – you certainly know when a person needs prayer – right back at you! You are in my prayers too.”

“Thank you for all that Texas Right to Life is doing!  Keep up the good work!”

"It was a pleasure meeting you, your wife, and the other members of your leadership team.  I truly believe that the work you are doing is of the utmost importance to our nation.  I look forward to getting involved in Texas Right to Life.  I would love to see your headquarters sometime and to further converse with you regarding where I could be the most valuable to you."

"Your letter served as a very helpful, sovereign, yet poignant “nudge” from God about something far more important than the dilemma I currently face – fighting for the life of the unborn.  The copy of the letter that was addressed to Dr. Graham that you included with the pledge reminder was a cold, stiff reminder of the callous, unconscionable evils we face in our nation today.  The things people will say and do under the guise of liberty, legality, and the “American Dream”, as this fellow so put it, are unquestionably wicked in every sense of the word.  All the more reason we must relentlessly press on in our battle for the unborn on both fronts -- the spiritual front (prayer) and the physical front (the public forum and the institutions of law)!  Placing that letter in your mailer made all the difference for me: it got my eyes off of me and back on others -- right where God wants them to be.  Thanks for having the guts to be bold!  How refreshing!!!"

"Thank you again for your all of your efforts, all of your toil, all that you endure from the liberal politicians and media, and those of our very own ranks who have yet to have seen (or perhaps have just ignored) the truth about abortion and all that goes with it.  You have my utmost encouragement, respect, and support – both prayerfully and financially."

"I was blessed by your correspondence reporting the progress we are making in our efforts to ensure that our great state of Texas is clearly committed to Pro-Life…the principles of spiritual “Life” cannot be separated from the significance of physical “life”.  In John 10:10, Jesus proclaimed clearly that He had come that we might have “life, and life abundantly”.  His death provides the hope of our having spiritual life, but it also provides the motivation behind our ability to live THIS life to the fullest…I rejoice with you in the blessings of God upon Texas Right to Life.  My prayer is that He would continue to find favor with your leadership and our efforts."

"I thought you and your team did a fantastic job at the training seminar.  Your entire operation is a tribute to professionalism – and for the highest cause.  Please pass my appreciation on to everyone there at Texas Right to Life."

“I am starting my very own solo family practice office!  And I hired a
consultant from my accountant's office to help make sure I have all the
right forms on hand to give to patients.  She said I am required to have
advance directive forms available, and one of them that she provided is a
"Directive to Physicians for Persons Under 18 Years of Age"  to be filled
out and signed by an adult spouse, parents, or legal guardian.  Can you
imagine any parents wanting to sign an advance directive for their minor
child?  I hope I am not required to offer this form to parents.  Anyway, I
am grateful for your recent newsletter that directed me to the "Will to
Live" on the national RTL website.  Thanks to all of you for the work you
do."

To Whom It May Wonderfully Concern:

There must be something very special about your work since when I opened the envelope – which never happens – I cut my hand.  Therefore, I decided to add an extra $5.00, just to let the enemy know he is not going to deter us from fighting the evil of abortion.

As a professor, I take every opportunity to speak against abortion and compare the holocaust of Jews to that of children unborn here in the U.S. We have outnumbered by 8 times Hitler’s total of Jews killed in the concentration camps.  This brands an impression on my students, which I expect change their lives.

Thank you for your work!

“Children are a heritage of the Lord; the fruit of the womb is His reward.” In my 25 years of delivering babies, I have never had a woman regret not terminating a pregnancy; but I have ministered to hundreds who did have an abortion and regretted it.  Remember the world’s most famous unplanned pregnancy:  Mary!  She bore Jesus Christ.
