Thoughts from recent interns:

Were the projects you were expected to complete both reasonable and clearly explained?  Did you receive helpful feedback on a regular basis?

Everyone I worked with was extremely open and informative about my assignments.

All of the projects I worked on were more then reasonable.  I enjoyed doing most of them, and they were all clearly assigned.

Did the management help you accomplish your personal and professional goals?

Management did help me accomplish both of my goals this summer.  Professionally I was looking to join an organization that was fighting for something that I believe in.  It was great to feel like I played a part in all that is accomplished here at TRTL.  Personally, the job greatly exceeded my expectations and initial goals.

What would you recommend to help us create a better work place?

I think the atmosphere here is awesome! I really liked it as a “workplace.”

In my opinion, people make the workplace.  That said, the people here could not have been more welcoming and friendly.  It was a joy to come to work every morning and be greeted with smiling faces.  Honestly, as long as TRTL continues to hire such good people, there won’t really ever be much to change.

Would you consider working for TRTL in the future?  Would you recommend us to friends?

It would be an honor to be associated with TRTL again in the future.

I would defiantly recommend interning here to friends.

YES!  I have immensely enjoyed my time here.  I would love to come back if the opportunity ever arises, and I would also recommend my friends work here.

What improvements would you make to the organization of the intern program?

Good.  I like the intern meetings just to catch everyone up and to talk about the things that we had been doing.

What did you like most about your job?  What would you change about your job?

I enjoyed doing a variety of things everyday.  I especially enjoyed when I was sent to Donor Lunches.  I think the people that I worked with in the office were a lot of fun, and added a lot to my experience here.

I really like coming into this job knowing that I could further my previous experiences and learn new ways to be Pro-Life.  I really benefited from learning about the legislative process.

I really liked being in an environment where people actually cared not only about my work, but my personal development.  My time here has helped develop and mature me in so many intangible ways.

How do you feel you helped to advance the mission and goals of Texas Right to Life?

I feel that every task, no matter how small, done to help the organization is a step toward saving lives.

What did you receive from you experiences this summer as an intern?

I really began to understand the importance of hard work and dedication and also fighting for what you believe in despite being at a relative disadvantage.  More tangibly, I really did become a lot more educated about the movement and other interesting information through the two week program at the beginning of the summer.

The book, Focal Point, and the accompanying discussion helped me establish spiritual and relationship goals for the first time.  I have learned more about Life issues and the Texas legislature.

To have a job right now is such a blessing, much less to have a job doing something I love.  That is a dream come true.  THANKS!!!
